Nutrition
Nutrition is a major emphasis here at NutriBit. In times past horse nutritional products have had 4 areas of limitations which have inhibited horses and horse owners. The first is the salt and mineral block which has been a common way of providing nutrients. This method would be fine if we could count on horses to regularly lick the block and with the appropriate amount of licks (dosage) per day. Secondly, manufacturers often overlook the taste of the product. Third and fourthly, products have been confined to dry matter and pastes and the method of administering has been with a syringe pushed inside the mouth of the horse. Usually a fight between push and pull takes place between the syringe and the horse’s mouth.

We seek to improve upon or remove the above limitations by: making it easier for horse owners to provide for the nutrition of their horse, making the product taste good to the horse, providing the nutrient in liquid form (the most effective means because liquids can readily assimilate into the horse stomach), and giving the owner the freedom to administer the nutrient in a non-confrontational manner (through the bit) - on the ground or in the saddle.
Rewards
Throughout history little emphasis has been placed on oral rewards for horses. Dogs and circus animals have been given rewards but the horse has been trained using pressure and release techniques. The reason for this is that there never has been a way to give a horse an immediate oral reward for correct behavior. Now there is a way and with NutriBit training measures can be improved upon and results seen quicker than using only traditional methods. Using rewards expands a trainer’s options and can add to the enjoyment of the horse and the trainer.
